We have been privileged to welcome 9 brilliant writers to Exeter Custom House since our pilot programme in 2019, many of whom have done fantastic job in delivering their residencies digitally due the pandemic. We are thrilled that this July our chosen writer will be able to be truly in residence again and responding to our summer theme: Nature.

We’ve already had some fantastic responses to the Quayside and River Exe that flows past the Custom House’s doors, including Louisa Adjoa Parker’s ‘Let the River Sing’ and Natasha Carthew’s ‘River running over‘.
