Run to the Shops

I ran out of the house, sprinting past the postman, and jumping over the fence. I needed to get to the shop to buy milk. I hoped that I could just go to the shop and back without any interruptions, because there was a football match coming on in 20 minutes, so I had to be
quick. I ran down the street and turned a left, when I saw something; the road was blocked. I ran backwards, then went around the huge apartment block to see if there was a way through. There wasn’t. I saw a ladder leading up to the balcony of an apartment. If I could get there, then I could climb down from the side and get into the shop. I checked my watch, there was fifteen minutes until the match started. I climbed up the ladder, then climbed down the side to get into the shop. I rushed through the shop, getting the all-important milk, then ran to the till.

I had a dilemma, go to the person at the counter, but they could take a long time, or wait for the selfservice and then speed through the buying. I decided to wait for the self-service. After the person was finished, I ran to it and scanned the milk. Then I paid for it, and ran out of the shop. I didn’t climb the apartment block, instead going through a path that I hadn’t seen before. I ran out and ran to my house. I rushed inside, locked the door, and flopped onto the couch. Suddenly, I realised that it wasn’t milk I bought but…
