Monday 31 May 10:00 - 15:30
Join Quay Words and Laura Moseley, zine-maker and founder of Common Threads Press, for a day of fun, creative zine-making for 13-18 year olds during the half-term!
This is an opportunity for any young people with an interest in writing, crafts, art or any creative activity to explore zines. Zines are small, handmade booklets that act as a medium for you to share your interests and explore your creativity.
Laura will teach you all about what zines are and how to make your own through fun, easy activities to develop your skills and formulate your ideas. You will also have the opportunity to look through Laura’s extensive zine collection for inspiration and ideas, as well as working closely with Laura to develop your idea. You will be guided through every step of the process, so no previous experience with zines is necessary.
This workshop will offer you the opportunity to explore your own ideas, whilst being guided through some new ones, so if you are usually creative, or never at all, this workshop is suitable for you!

Please note: We aim to run this workshop in person at Exeter Custom House, Covid-19 safe measures and social distancing in place. If circumstances change the workshop will be moved online.
If you are under 18, you will need to get permission from a parent or guardian to make a booking. The workshop is free.
