Monday 22 July 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

This event is a partnership with Papatango.

This workshop will explore how theatrical stories can be structured, to develop an understanding of what makes a script work on stage and the relationship between narrative and form.

The multi-award-winning Papatango run free opportunities to launch new playwrights, who have gone on to win BAFTA, OffWestEnd, Royal National Theatre and Alfred Fagon awards. New plays developed or produced by Papatango have premiered worldwide and in the West End. Their book Being A Playwright: A Career Guide for Writers has been called “a bible for playwrights” (Steve Waters, playwright and UEA lecturer in Creative Writing) and “an excellent tool for playwrights” (Indhu Rubasingham, artistic director of KIln Theatre). www.papatango.co.uk
