Let The Poetry Machine produce for you…
As the sun starts to warm the Quayside we’re pleased to be hosting a lovely drop-in activity at Exeter Custom House for everyone to enjoy across May.
On Saturday 21st, Thursday 26th and Saturday 28th May the Poetry Machine will create heart-fizzing poetry inventions made especially for you! Created by poet, Beth Calverley, the word-whirring Poetry Machine is your chance to experience poetry, created in response to your thoughts, feelings, ideas, and discoveries.
Pop by the Custom House to co-create a poem with Beth, distilling your words into a poem to take home with you. Just follow the sound of her vintage typewriter and look out for the machine’s bright yellow umbrella, flagpole and bubble engine.
On 28th May there will also be free making activity in Exeter Custom House with ceramic artist Phoebe Cummings brought to you by our partners Honeyscribe.
You’re welcome to take part on your own, come along with a loved one, or bring a whole group! See our What’s On for timings.
