Tom McLaughlin is a former political cartoonist turned children’s author and illustrator. His picture books and chapter books have been published all around the world, and have been read on CBeebies’ Bedtime Story many times; he’s also written about dyslexia for the Guardian, worked as an animation designer, and script writer.
exetreme imagination is Exeter’s festival of writing and stories for young people. It is a collaboration of Exeter’s arts and culture organisations, who come together to produce an exciting programme of events to develop and share young people’s passion for writing. As well as nurturing an interest in writing and stories, we run events with more specific aims such as family events with British Sign Language for deaf and hearing participants, and drama workshops for young people with concerns about mental wellbeing.
